Discover our favorite spots to eat, enjoy a drink, sightsee and stay during your trip to the capital city!
Lisbon is one of my favorite cities to visit! I've been traveling to Lisbon since I was 10 years old to visit family. During the summers my siblings and I would visit my grandfather and explore the colorful streets. Lisbon has changed A LOT since then and with it has come so many amazing small shops, delicious restaurants and cool places to see. Lisbon is also one of the most gorgeous cities in Europe (it used to be known as more beautiful than Paris in the early 20th Century)! Tiled buildings line the narrow streets with so many fun places to discover around every corner.

Portugal has SO much delicious food. I am a huge fan of traditional Portuguese restaurants, especially traditional Portuguese steak, which has sauce, rice and potatoes with an egg on top. So delish! Although in the last couple years, so much new and diverse restaurants have been popping up. Adding in a couple of local smaller spots I adored and that had delicious drinks and food!

MINI DAY TRIP - CASCAIS, PT
Praia da Azarujinha – Beautiful and rocky beach in Estoril near Cascais
Travessa da Praia da Azarujinha 2765 Estoril
One of my favorite places to do a mini day trip near Lisbon is Cascais. It is a short 30-45 min train ride to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Atlantic. I normally get off at Sao Joao de Estoril stop and walk the promenade starting at the Praia da Azarujinha. You get some fantastic people watching and amazing views of the sea. I walk all the way to Cascais where I normally grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants. I can never leave the area without stopping at Santini, my favorite gelato place hands down. It was also my Tia Teresa's favorite spot who used to go there as a kid in the 60's and who took me for my first time too.

PLACES TO STAY
Lisbon, Portugal
Since I have family in Lisbon, I haven't had the privilege to actually stay at any of these places since I normally stay with family. But all of these spots looked delightful and design swoon-worthy! They are all on my list of places I wish I could stay at instead of on my little brothers couch. I tried to find spots not so close to the beaten path so you wouldn't be in the middle of all the tourists!
