Melanie Abrantes Designs x Houseplant

We are so thrilled to introduce to you our latest collaboration with Houseplant, the Glass and Cork Ashtray!

Melanie Abrantes Designs collaborated with Houseplant and handmade 400 very special custom ashtrays. 

Inspired by Seth Rogen’s own ashtrays, Houseplant and Melanie Abrantes Designs have combined natural materials to create sculptural forms that play with balance and shape. 

The Glass and Cork Ashtray is a hand-blown, bright orange glass ashtray inside of a handmade natural cork holder. It has a deep well glass ashtray with built-in notch that you can remove from the cork piece! 

The orange glass ashtray is hand-blown glass by Gary Bodker in Portland, Oregon; while the natural cork holder is turned by Melanie Abrantes. Assembling took place in Oakland, California with the help of her team.
