Last month I was able to teach at the Port Townsend School of Woodworking! I taught a class of 9 how to turn cork and share more about the amazing material. I had an incredible time teaching everyone the art of woodturning and sharing my passion for the craft! I was so impressed with everyone's talent and felt so lucky to witness the creativity and dedication of my students.

What amazed me the most was the students' remarkable talent and their ability to bring their visions to life. From intricately designed coasters and bowls to innovative decorative vases, their finished projects were nothing short of extraordinary.
Witnessing the diversity and beauty of their creations was a testament to their dedication and the limitless possibilities of cork turning.
I was so proud of everything my students made! We learned 3 projects, a vase, canister and bowl. They were able to make amazing things afterwards including wine coolers and other vessels!

My week at the Port Townsend School of Woodworking was a whirlwind of inspiration, learning, and shared passion for craftsmanship. The students' open-mindedness and incredible talent made teaching them an absolute pleasure. The experience reaffirmed the transformative power of learning and the beauty of creating together in a supportive environment. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a memorable week, and I eagerly anticipate the future accomplishments of these gifted woodworkers.
