We use this compact table vice to hold up our work when we want to use two hands. It has padded jaws that help prevent dents in your piece. Notably, tightening the set of jaws onto your item (or tightening the base rotation lock) locks both of these rotations--a very handy and timesaving feature. The best part is its ball swivel that you can move around 360 degrees to get into the smallest and most awkward crevices.
We highly recommend this vice for those hard projects you really want to go all in on.

He says it’s a great vice made with great materials and “tight tolerances” - which allows it to withstand decent pressure in any direction or orientation that you would want to carve in. The weakest piece of the whole puzzle is the table it is clamped onto. It is also pretty to look at in my opinion.
